"...where did you find that?"

I can't tell you how many times I've heard that one!

 I come from a long line of antique afficionados and junk hoarders, and grew up going to flea markets and country auctions, I've always lived surrounded by the fruits of a good rummage, and I've learned how to find and use the offbeat and unusual things that can be found if you know how and where to look!

 I still remember my first flea market find...

 My friend and junk decor mentor, Nancy Smith, gave me a dollar and took me to a local market, where I bought a Sanka can full of antique marbles. I was five years old. Some of them would be very valuable to a collector today, but sad to say, I don't know where they are. I suspect the party responsible for this devastating loss is my mother, "the Cleaner", but c'est la vie, not everyone can spot such a shrewd investment.

 I have been fleaing ever since- loading up the car with like-minded friends and scouring the backroads for unique items, fine, fun or funky...and you should come, too!
